USABA Athletes Named to US Paralympics 2011 Track and Field High School All-American Team

US Paralympics recently announced their 2011 Track and Field High School All American Team.

Included were several members of USABA’s Team USA who recently competed in the 2011 International Blind Sports Federation World Youth and Student Championships:

  • David Brown (Hazelwood, MO)
  • Trevon Graves (St. Louis, MO)
  • Michael Kinoshita (Folsom, CA)
  • Carlos McCormick (Romney, WV)
  • Alexander Richmond (Birmingham, AL)
  • Samantha Smolka (Hometown, IL)

“This is an outstanding group of very talented athletes”  said John Potts, USABA Sports Director.  “Although this may be the first time we’ve heard of some of these names, it won’t be the last—talented as they already are,  each of them has the talent and commitment to continue to rise on the national and international stage.”

US Paralympics selected David Brown to compete with Team USA at the 2011 Parapan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, a 2011 London Paralympics Games qualifying event.
