Next week, Team USA Goalball Teams head to Colorado Springs, Colorado to compete in two major championship tournaments sanctioned by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) and hosted by the United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) at Colorado College, July 9-15, 2013.
Team USA Junior National teams will compete in the 2013 IBSA World Youth Championships, the premiere international Goalball competition for athletes ages 19 and under. USABA is proud to announce the following athletes will represent Team USA and USABA for the 2013 IBSA World Youth Championships Goalball competition:

The Team USA National teams will compete in the 2013 IBSA Parapan American Regional Goalball Championships. The top men’s and women’s finishers are competing to qualify for the 2014 IBSA World Goalball Championships to be held in Espoo, Finland. The 2014 IBSA World Goalball Championships will be the first of three qualification tournaments for the 2016 Paralympic Games.

Opening ceremonies will be held at Armstrong Hall on the Colorado College Campus at 7:00pm on July 10. Goalball competition begins on July 11 at the Colorado College El Pomar Sports Center and runs through July 14. Admission is free and all games are open to the public.
