Team USA Men’s and Women’s Goalball National Team’s Set to Compete at Berlin Nations Cup

Colorado Springs, Colo. (April 3, 2025) – The USA Goalball Men’s and Women’s National Teams are set to take the international stage at the Berlin Nations Cup from April 4-6, facing top competition from around the world. This tournament provides Team USA with a crucial opportunity to showcase their talent and preparation as they continue their journey toward future international events.

Representing the Men’s National Team are Calahan Young, PLY (Irwin, PA), Matthew Simpson, PLY (Smyrna, GA), Tre’Shaun Faison, PLY (Orange Park, FL), Zion Walker, PLY (Fort Worth, TX), and Jordan Main (Tampa, FL). The team is led by Head Coach Keith Young and Assistant Coach Michael Dennis.

The Women’s National Team features Hailey Andress (Newport News, VA), Mindy Cook, PLY (Columbus, OH), Lisa Czechowski, PLY (Tucson, AZ), Veronica Hyatt (Deltona, FL), Eliana Mason, PLY (Beaverton, OR), and Asya Miller, PLY (Portland, OR). They are guided by Head Coach Nicole Kirk, Assistant Coach John Potts, and Women’s Development Coordinator Karen Zabel.

The action kicks off with the women’s team facing Germany on April 4 at 2:00 AM EST, followed by a matchup against Spain at 12:50 PM EST. On April 5, they will take on Finland at 3:05 AM EST and Turkey at 1:55 PM EST.

The men’s team begins their tournament run on April 4, competing against Great Britain at 6:20 AM EST and Sweden at 10:40 AM EST, before closing out the preliminary round against Spain on April 5 at 6:20 AM EST.
