USABA is proud to announce the promotion of U.S. Women’s National Goalball Team’s Assistant Coach, Jake Czechowski, to Head Coach. Czechowski succeeds Coach Ken Armbruster who retired effective October 15. Czechowski, a veteran of two Paralympic Games and brings with him a wealth of experience as he leads the team forward.
“Team sports have always played a major role in my life,” said Czechowski. “In 2004 I was pursuing life as a football coach and teacher when I discovered goalball. I was blown away with what I saw and began to learn as much as I could. It has been an honor to work with Coach Armbruster for the past 5 years and I am thrilled to continue on as head coach. My immediate goal is to maintain the level of excellence and tradition that past and current members of USA Women’s Goalball have worked so hard to sustain for over 30 years.”
We give Coach Czechowski our very best wishes for success as he takes on his new role!
