IBSA Tenpin Bowling 2017 World Championships

The Japanese Paralympic Committee and Blind Bowling Congress Japan will host Fukuoka 2017 IBSA Tenpin Bowling World Championships August 22-30. (Official invitation)

First entries are due on January 31. Entry fee per person with double occupancy is 140,000 Yen.

Competition Rules

As of January 1, 2015, all IBSA athletes must be registered on the ISAS database and have a current ISAS Administration System (ISAS) license number for 2017 which must be presented in the final entry form due April 20, 2017.

IBSA is offering classification to all athletes in this competition. A medical diagnosis form should be completed and uploaded to the ISAS database six weeks before the actual classification on August 23-24. August 22: Arrival
August 23: Classification, Ball registration, Team Managers Meeting, Non-official practice
August 24: Classification, Ball registration, City Tour, Non-official practice
August 25: Official Practice, Lane draw, Opening Ceremony, Welcome Reception
August 26: Singles Competition, Preliminaries and Finals
August 27: Doubles Competition, Preliminaries and Finals
August 28: 3 Players Team Competition, Preliminaries and Finals

August 29: 4 Players Team Competition, Preliminaries and Finals

30th August: Departure

September 2017 Cycling Development Camp

Learn to race at USABA’s Cycling Development Camp September 9-15, 2017 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center Velodrome in Colorado Springs! Register here!

Ideal applicants are in a physical condition to endure two rides per day and 140 miles of riding during the week. You should also be able to provide your own pilot and equipment. If you need a pilot or equipment, please notify USABA when applying. Application deadline is Friday, August 4, 2017.

There is a $360 program fee for non-military athletes which includes accommodations at Olympic Training Center, ground transportation, meals, training, etc. Note the program fee does not include travel to and from Colorado Springs. VA funding is available on a first come, first serve basis for Military Veterans and Active Duty Service Members.
