Virtual Fit Anthem 5k

Participate in a nationwide virtual 5k with USABA and sponsor, Anthem! On Saturday, September 30, join hundreds of others running and walking the Fit Anthem 5k nationwide.

When? Saturday, September 30, 2017 – 10:00 a.m. ET, 7:00 a.m. PT

Where? Right where you are! Since it’s a virtual 5k, you can run or walk in your neighborhood, on a treadmill at the gym or in your home, with friends, family or solo!

Who? You! We’re recruiting individuals who are blind and visually impaired of all ages and fitness levels to run or walk with us on September 30.

How? Register online: https://goo.gl/ir3VsA

Before race day, you’ll be paired with an Anthem associate via email (except participants under the age of 18). The two of you will become fitness buddies for the 5k. You can share goals and encourage each other as you gear up for the race on September 30. You’ll also be encouraged to post on Twitter about your training and participation in the 5k using #FitAnthem5k. Participants under the age of 18 are encouraged to participate in the Virtual Fit Anthem 5k but will not be paired with an Anthem associate.

On race day, wear your Fitbit and NFC t-shirt and take photos of you and your group walking or running. After the race, connect with your Anthem fitness buddy to debrief on how the race went and what your next fitness goals are. And don’t forget to post a great finish picture on Twitter using #FitAnthem5k and tagging @USABA!

Why? Exercising with a buddy (virtual or in person) can help you achieve fitness goals, keep exercise fun and sometimes can even spur a sense of competition which can help you reach new heights. Pairing up with an Anthem associate virtually will give participants someone to debrief with, share fitness goals and encourage.
