For the third year in a row, the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired is proud and honored to present the 2017 Richard Hunter CIM to Boston Excellence in Running Award at the 2017 California International Marathon. The award includes 3 nights’ accommodations at our B.A.A. Boston Marathon host hotel, travel stipend of up to $500 USD, and 2018 B.A.A. Boston Marathon race registration. Your eligibility for this award is based on your finishing time at the 2017 California International Marathon and if you have previously entered and run a B.A.A. Boston Marathon. The individual(s) with the fastest finishing time in both men’s and women’s VI Division and who have not previously run a B.A.A. Boston Marathon will be chosen and have met the qualifying standards for the B.A.A. Boston Marathon.

The 2018 B.A.A. Boston Marathon will be our 25th time that the Team With A Vision lined up in Hopkinton on behalf of the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (MABVI) and the people we serve. Founded in 1903, we are one of the oldest organizations in the country serving people who are blind. Our experience allows us to forge strong community partnerships so we can meet the pressing need for high-quality services and transform lives. Today MABVI is one of the leading providers of vision rehabilitation in the state and through volunteer services, support groups, and in-home vision rehabilitation training we serve more than 1,100 people each year.

We would be thrilled to have you join the Team With A Vision roster for the 2018 B.A.A. Boston Marathon; together you and your teammates will be showing the world that ‘with the right support, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
