USABA Tandems Sprint to the Podium at Track Cycling Open


Cyclists from across the country met in Carson, California this weekend to compete in the U.S. Paralympic Track Cycling Open. Of the seven tandem cycling teams, only the best would emerge as champions. Many of the stokers on the start list are cross-over athletes and military veterans who became acquainted with the sport through cycling development camps hosted by United States Association of Blind Athletes. Four National Titles for USABA Track Tandem Teams


Six USABA tandem teams met in Colorado Springs to compete for national titles this weekend at the 2015 U.S. Paracycling Track National Championships. The event was held at the U.S. Olympic Velodrome, which was recently covered with a seasonal dome to support year-round training – and just in time for the snow that fell Saturday afternoon. 2015 USA Para-Cycling Road Nationals


Aaron Scheidies (Seattle, Wash.) and Shawn Cheshire (Camillus, N.Y.) earned national titles last weekend at the 2015 Volkswagen U.S. Pro-Cycling Championship in Chattanooga, Tenn on Sunday, May 24. Scheidies and his pilot, Benjamin Collins, finished the course in 1:27:12. This was Scheidies’ first road race. Cheshire and her guide, Mackenzie Woodring finished first in the women’s division in 1:30:26. Nine USABA athletes competed in this year's Road Nationals.
