Michael May, totally blind at age three from an explosion of calcium carbide, grew up believing he was lucky to be blind and still alive. May competed in the Sarajevo 1984 Winter Olympics where he broke the world record for B1 athletes in downhill speed skiing with a speed of 65 MPH and was the first blind man to ever ski a run at an Olympic Games. Currently, May is a leader in the field of advancing technology and mobility for the independence of people who are blind and visually impaired. He has been a pioneer in new product development since 1980.  May has also worked for the Central Intelligence Agency, Bank of California, TRW and Arkenstone.
