Are you strong? Do you like building muscle and testing limits? Powerlifting may be the sport for you.
Overall body strength is the key to good performance in powerlifting. Just as sprinting is a pure test of speed, powerlifting is a pure test of strength.
Powerlifting is a sport where competitors test their strength across three different lifts: Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift. There are different weight divisions and age groups for men and women. There are a limited number of powerlifting events in which powerlifters who are blind and visually impaired can compete. We list them in the Events Calendar section on our website when we are provided with information.
