2025 Sport Ambassador Applications Now Open: Join the USABA–Google Pixel Partnership

January 22, 2025 — Calling all aspiring sport ambassadors! The 2025 Sport Ambassador Program application period is now officially open, offering a unique opportunity for individuals to represent their communities, advocate for accessible technology, and collaborate with leading industry partners. In partnership with the United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) and Google Pixel, this year’s program promises to be a milestone in promoting sports and accessible tech integration for the blind and visually impaired community.

Why Become a 2025 Sport Ambassador?

  1. Access to Cutting-Edge Technology
Last year, each ambassador had the chance to visit the Google Pixel campus in Mountain View, California, where they received a suite of new devices designed with accessibility features in mind. This hands-on experience allowed ambassadors to deeply understand Google Pixel’s technology, providing valuable insights on how these devices can benefit people with visual impairments.
  2. Collaboration with Industry Leaders
The USABA–Google Pixel partnership remains a cornerstone of the Sport Ambassador Program. Ambassadors will gain direct access to Google Pixel’s team, contributing to the development and expansion of inclusive products. By sharing real-world user feedback, ambassadors will help guide future innovations to better serve the blind and visually impaired community.
  3. Expanding Accessible Sports Participation
Sport ambassadors play a key role in fostering inclusive sporting opportunities. Through local outreach, training sessions, and community events, ambassadors help illustrate that adaptive sports and cutting-edge assistive technologies can work hand in hand to empower individuals of all abilities.
  4. A Platform to Advocate
From social media campaigns to speaking engagements, ambassadors will have countless platforms to amplify the voice of the blind and visually impaired community, spreading awareness about the importance of accessible tech and inclusive sports programs.
