Clemson Summer VA Adaptive Soccer Camp and Coach Certification

July 25-30, 2017 - Clemson, South Carolina

This is a camp designed for Military Veterans with TBI, PTSD (7 a-side) OR visual impairment  (5 a-side). Veterans will train as 2 separate mini-camps to engage in adaptive soccer for 3 days and offer an opportunity for coaches to obtain their US Soccer Level “E” Coaching License.

Participants should plan to arrive the afternoon/evening of July 25th. They will train/play games four hours a day on the field and be in the classroom six hours per day for coach certification for all 3 days (July 26, 27, 28).

Clemson is also hosting a showcase event on July 29th at the USL Charleston Battery soccer game. Participants will perform a brief demonstration of the sport. Please indicate on the google form if you plan to stay for the showcase event. Players with visual impairments are requested to stay for the showcase event.

Interested participants have 2 options:
Camp ONLY: Arrive July 25 evening and depart July 29 morning
Camp AND Event: Arrive July 25 and depart July 30 morning

Transportation to Clemson, housing, meals and US Soccer Coach “F” level Certification fee are covered as part of the VA grant program.

This camp is limited to 16 players with TBI, PTSD or Stroke and 10 players with visual impairment so sign up early for the best chance of participation.
