Funding Requests for 2012 Sports Club Project Grants or Sports Camps
The U.S. Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) is pleased to announce that we are accepting funding proposals for 2012 USABA Sports Club projects or sports camps/clinics. Grant amounts will range up to $1,500.
For consideration, applicants must submit a proposal which includes the following:
• Dates and location of 2012 camp, program, clinic or project
• An outline of camp, program, clinic or project, including tentative schedule, sports included, staffing structure, competitions, equipment specification/intended use
• Measurable outcomes
• Fees charged (if any) to camp or program participants
• The anticipated number of participants, including age range
• The names, mailing addresses, and email addresses of all participants and staff
• Funding preference will be given to Sports Clubs that promote participants to become USABA members
• How agency will recognize USABA
Upon receipt of funding, USABA Sports Clubs will receive a contract including, but not limited to the following:
• Agencies receiving funding must be a 2012 USABA Sports Club
• There is no fee involved in becoming a sports club
• USABA Sports Club information is on the USABA website: http://www.usaba.org
• Site/program directors must submit after-action reports.
• A minimum of 10 participant photos and 2-3 success stories to USABA within 30 days of the camp completion of the camp or program, or after of any equipment procured with grant funds
• At least one photo providing USABA recognition is required for us to post to the USABA website and Facebook page
• All camps requesting use of USABA’s liability insurance must adhere to USABA’s policy to conduct background checks on all staff and volunteers who have direct contact with participants. DEADLINE DATE: All applications must be received by April 16, 2012.
NOTIFICATION: Award recipients will be notified by April 26, 2012.
